Performance of Top Puzzle Games on Unified Platform in New Zealand, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the puzzle game category in New Zealand saw varied performance across the top five applications on a unified platform, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Block Blast! by Hungry Studio displayed a notable trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 18K and peaking at 23K in late December. The game's weekly active users mirrored this growth, rising from approximately 87K to 215K by the end of the quarter. Revenue, however, was modest, with a peak of just $68 in late November.

Cryptogram: Word Brain Puzzle from Joyteractive had a steady increase in both revenue and downloads. Weekly revenue grew from $261 to $384, while downloads rose from 2.5K to a high of 6.2K in mid-November. Active users also increased steadily, reaching over 22K by the end of December.

Find The Cat - Hidden Objects, developed by Agave Games, saw consistent growth in active users, starting at 4.5K and ending the quarter at nearly 16K. Downloads remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 2K and 5K. Revenue showed a slight decline towards the end of the quarter, dropping to $30 by the last week of December.

Fruit Merge: Match Game by Bravestars Technology JSC experienced a decline in active users, falling from 13.9K to 5.4K. Revenue also decreased over the quarter, with a low of $180 in early December. Downloads remained steady, averaging around 3K weekly.

Bus Out, published by Zego Global Pte Ltd, showed a strong start with active users growing from 161 to over 11K by the end of the quarter. Revenue peaked at $751 in mid-November, while downloads reached a high of 4.9K in October.
